- Hey, I'm David and "officially" became a Satanist June of 2004 but in looking back, I've been a Satanist my entire life, just didnt know it. I'm still getting the hang of things here but trust me, I will chime in on posts, etc..
Even though I consider myself to be a "Traditional" Satanist, I do credit Anton LaVey and 'The Satanic Bible' for helping to open these eyes to Satanism. Living in South MS during the 80's, with no internet, I had no way of learning that Satanism wasnt about "evil". I was into the "occult" and studied Wicca but it left me craving more, it was too tame for my tastes. Other than daytime talk shows, the only thing I knew about CoS was an Anton LaVey interview from a nudie mag. 'High Society'.
Even though I am listed as "Traditional', I don't critisize any other Satanic Path. After all, I consider Satanism to represent FREEDOM of CHOICE. I can't "prove" there are/where Gods but I can't disprove it, either. I've had more than a few "supernatural" experiences.
I do consider 'The Satanic Bible' to be "required" reading but I don't worship LaVey and have become quite critical of the Co$. I don't like the direction Gilmore has taken it. In my opinion, LaVey wrote 'The Satanic Bible' to open eyes, not to close minds.
If pushed, I will push back.
I love Horror and Sci-Fi movies and love to discuss them with other like-minded people.
Social Issues, it's always cool to discuss them and expose anti-Satanic socialists when I can.
I have more than a few "pet peeves", but in the online world, people who join social networking sites(do I need to provide exmples of such sites?) in order to meet new people yet set their profile to PRIVATE! How does one "meet new people" by setting profile to PRIVATE? Save your insecuritties for the therapist, this is the WORLD-WIDE WEB, don't include any personal info,,eh, fuck it, if you're that insecure/stuck up, I don't want to meet ya anyway.
Politically speaking, I HATE Democrats but I'm not a Republican, more of a Libertarian. It's a shame we have the "Two-party" system.

- Oh, I forgot to tell you that when I was in Vietnam I tried an AK-47. No, I'm not a vet! At a place called Cu Chi, not far from Saigon, a section of the old Vietcong tunnels is preserved as a tourist attraction. There are other things as well, including a shooting range. One is allowed to fire off the said weapon at a dollar a round. I'm not surprised it's the terrorist weapon of choice. It's light, easy to handle and with no recoil at all. The only drawback is that it jamms easily. Mine did three or four times in twenty rounds.

- Thank you for that, David. Unlike the States it's not so easy to get guns here, even sporting guns. However, I will ask father about the calibre you mentioned. So saying 'me' instead of 'my' maddens your fellow Americans? I always thought the use of language in the States was realatively 'classless', if that's the right word. It isn't in England, not at all. The way people speak immediately denotes not just where they come from but their social background in addition. 'Me' is definitely downmarket. :-))

- Separate really! I ride to hounds, so I used to go fox hunting, when we were allowed to go fox hunting-the practice was banned here a couple of years ago by our socialist government. My family have friends, good friends, in southern Georgia, in a place called Moultrie. I've been going back and forward since I was quite young. It was there I learned to shoot, target practice with a .22 rifle, which probably sounds absurdly light to you, but suits me very well. :-) As I got older I was allowed to try a higher calibre weapon, including a .30 handgun, though I found that a bit uncomfortable: it seemed to come alive in my hand! My father goes grouse shooting in Scotland. I've been with him a couple of times and tried his twelve bore. But again I found it a bit heavy. By the time I raised the gun the quarry was well passed!
