The Magic of the Volatile...
There is an element which if used when most opportune is a springboard for a dual purpose. Magic and venting. Things like stress, anger and hate can be articulated into more than just a working of wrath or destruction. It is an "energy" which if properly channeled can work towards anything one puts their mind to.
If someone thinks I am solely placing this into a ritual context then they'll only reap a portion of what is really being said.
What is being discussed is what is normally considered volatile psychological states.
These need not be viewed as detrimental if contolled and filtered into a condition which would increase the benefits of these energies; out-weighing the cons and solipsist self implosions which are the usual pitfalls.
The nuclear bomb is an over extension of force, the ultimate effects of which out weigh any temporal benefits perceived by those in whom might implement such tactics. Using such power as a pro-generative force is far more well purposed.
Stress can either eat one up or one could use it's energy funneled into something productive such as a physical regimen. In this it ceases to master you, through it's proper use YOU master it. In other words you USE it, defuse any negative effects it might have upon you and benefit from it's encounterment, it's experience.
To echo the words of Anton LaVey you are "turning a liability into a commodity".
Same goes for anger and hate. If properly channeled these can be dynamic forces to work with and utilize. I once did this and ran for almost 4 hrs. straight with no break, no water.
The adrenal out-put engendered from these catalytic psychological states produces a major effect if properly "timed". These are moments with which one should seize upon and reap the benefits of.
Here is magic without what is considered in "conventional" circles a ritual context, although the author here realizes that ritual defined is a thinly used term. I have many times been alone and vented while focusing heavily with intent and reaped solid results; and this with none of the usual ritual flare and paraphernalia.
There are two main articulative measures in magic that most magicians use either on one side of the spectrum or co-operatively. These being focus and intent (mental) or evocative inspiration (emotional). I have used both separately and together and both ways are equally effective, however utilized in conjunction one comes into a dynamic and that is what I propose here.
To reinterpret a force or state of mind to be fashioned into what it is usually not accustomed to being used for takes a bit of focus lest one be swept up in "the moment". Allowing emotion to be fully expended requires a certain amount of "letting go". If one can synthesize the two therein IS the dynamic.
That's a basic primer logic in regard to magic most I think ' might ' agree.
So this brings me to the use of psychological states in which most shun as all but unproductive feral dissonance for which a controlled and "enlightened" human being would not lower themselves to. What it brings me to is the stark cold reality that there are no such human beings; and instead of dampening the beast within why not put it to some use!
And so I'll end with a quote:
"There is a beast in man that should be exercised, not exorcised" - ASL
