hmm..... just got a random question in my head... what is some of the ways you employ to learn something new or change for the better? of course I'm going to go with the military answer and say the easiest ways to learn something is trauma or repitition... so whats your ways give an example
Celibacy is one way I've changed for the better. Instead of relying on external sources for happiness I rely solely on myself. It has been a test of strength and has shaped me into the person I am today. It has also taught me a lot about what is "natural" and what is controllable when it comes to human animals. Most human animals are so compulsive to the point where they think that they HAVE to have sex, when in reality it's not a need but an extreme want. Plus I can't stand most women, so it helps tremendously. I've also tested my emotional strength while incarcerated and didn't cry a single tear even when a childhood friend OD'd while I was locked up. I don't know many people that could walk in my shoes, and it has all been a catalyst for a better understanding on what exactly strength is.
wow... I know I probibly wouldn't be able to deal with the celibacy... the most recent changes I made was breaking up with my ex and joining the army... but the best change I made was getting off my meds and learning to trust my emotions... which helps out alot when trying not to be a sadistic asshole lol
Muscle memory. Whether its martial arts, good form at the gym, driving back and forth from a place, mastering the best combo in Killer Instinct, perfecting your shot with a gun of your choice, in many cases muscle memory is the way to go. So I would agree with you on repetition.
