So, anyone got a favorite or favorites Satanic Movie(s)? I'll start with a couple and I'm eliminating 'Rosemary's Baby' since everyone knows of it. :-p
'The Legacy' (1978)
'Race With the Devil' (1975)
I wish these would be re-made, better filming, more $$$$, etc.
I really don't have a favorite "Satanic Movie" considering most of them are a bit lame. However, I did enjoy the "Omen 666" remake. The ending was enjoyable. There was also this shoddy low budget film that I remember titled "The Calling", where you end up finding out that Lucifer was this Cabby in the film. Not the greatest film, but enjoyable.
I dare expand on this on asking what was everyones particular favorite "Satan" in a movie. For this, I go with "Ledend", staring Tim Curry as "The Lord of Darkness". Also, "The Prophecy" with Viggo Mortensen as Lucifer. An excellent series of films, at the least the first 3.
"Devil's Advocate" would top my list in this category. DeNiro's Louis Cepher in "Angel Heart" is another goodie. I also would agree that the way Lucifer came across in "Prophecy" is a winner.I also liked Peter Cook in the original "Bedazzeled".
Satanic movies? I think Silent Hill fits the bill, as for a favorite Satan in a movie; I don't think I got one but my favorite Satan is actually from the show Reaper ;)
My favourite Satanic movie will be when i film me pissin on jamess face while hes stuck to a fuckin bed of nails...your nothin but a paedofile and u know it you fuckin loser
The Devil's Rejects by far... I always get this warm, beautiful feeling inside when I put it on, and a sudden craving for Vodka :D... "I am the devil, and I am here to do the devil's work..." -Otis Driftwood... probably Tex Watson before that...
I forgot, there is one movie that rivals Devil's Rejects for me, and that would be Natural Born Killers. It possesses numerous direct and subliminal satanic imagery and referances. You know how couples often pick a special movie that they can relate to that they tend to watch more than other movies because they feel it brings them closer? That would be it for me and the girl I am dating now. Not only that, but it's depiction of the media regarding serial killers and dysfunctional families is dead on.
How about Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas -the main character stays true to himself & lives buy his own rules , The Wickerman [ the original version] more about paganism, The Big Lebowski- once agian the main character stays true to himself in the face of adversity. The last 2 i really like they are The Fifth Element [ i love the "bad "guy Zorg], 12 monkeys - its just freaky !
